A vibrant intro for Brazil’s favorite sitcom. I helped fuse hand-painted art from Rio’s street signage culture with a wraparound 3D stage to welcome viewers into Vai Que Cola.
Role: Art Direction & Motion
"Vai Que Cola" is a hit comedy on Multishow, set in a chaotic boarding house in Rio’s Méier neighborhood. Known for its theatrical vibe and ensemble cast, It blends sitcom humor with stage-like energy.
For Season 2, we created a playful opening sequence full of urban flair.
All artwork was hand-painted by "EduArte", a local artist known for signage in Rio’s suburban bars, adding an authentic visual link to the show’s setting.
Creative
• Led 3D compositing and camera design to mirror the theatrical, in-front-of-audience format inside a continuous wraparound environment.
• Commissioned and integrated Edu Lemos’s hand-painted characters and locations rooted in Rio’s Méier vernacular, then rigged for animation.
• Directed a cast photoshoot to capture exaggerated expressions that drove facial poses and gags for fast character readability.
• Built a modular Cinema 4D + After Effects pipeline with Luke Bosshard for seamless parallax, timing, and music sync; project later featured on Behance.
Business
• Supported a live premiere that held number one in its cable time slot and sustained Multishow’s top-rated comedy status.
• Strengthened brand recognition across promos and social by providing distinctive key art and an intro that clearly “tells who is who,” improving onboarding for new viewers.
• Helped maintain franchise momentum that later reached weekly peaks above 6 million unique viewers by Season 6, underscoring the format’s staying power.
